Reddit privacy moderators recently censored this content over a day after it was posted. IMO the reason is suspicious.

(There are no subreddit rules banning "political propaganda" or "character assassination." Nor does this comment appear to rise to either of those accusations: other non-removed comments back up the removed one.)

Yup, Brave is financed in part by Peter Thiel's founders fund (and a bunch of other shady venture capitalists) which has funded Palantir and others.
Others also link to a couple videos about Thiel to what I presume was somebody asking about him.
Thanks for the info, Brave has just fallen to the Chrome level for me now
Anyone know any alternatives on iPhone they could recommend?
Firefox. Vivaldi if you want to stay with a Chromium-based browser.
Nothing is Chromium-based on iPhone.
