poor is such a weird word… in most cases it just means bad. Poor food quality, poor planning, poor critical thinking skills, etc….
but when we refer to a person, poor means a lack of money?
isn’t it just baking in the notion that impoverished people are bad?Also in America there is an unspoken attitude that being poor is a moral failing because of the narrative that all you need to succeed is "hard work and determination". If you're not rich you must be lazy.
