Currently this weekend we are planning on hiking near Shawnee National Forest and spending time with our horses. It's also my first paycheck in a salaried position!

Also going to try and get a little horse time in. It's so hot we have to go early morning, though.
Yeah, right now we are lunging in the morning because it's getting to be hot by noon.
Just unloaded and stacked 120 bales of 2-string in a 103°F heat index. Good times. 😂
We’ll likely just put in 2-3 miles before 9, to keep the girls legged up, then turn them out until afternoon.
Luckily my mare LOVES the water, so she’ll come up to the barn to get hosed off when she’s sweaty. My wife’s horses are both princesses that hate getting wet, so they’re just salty and grumpy.
