I've recently discovered their song 'Friedespanzer' which I quite like. However the few other songs on Spotify that I tried where totally different. Is that song a heavier exception or can someone recommend me other songs of then?

Which songs did you listen to? Die Ärzte are known for doing what they like. Their songs are filled with jokes and sometimes with criticism about our society. Friedenspanzer was on the Album "Bestie in Menschengestalt". Maybe you like the other songs on the album. Else you can try the Spotifyplaylist "This is Die Ärzte". This playlist is basicly what DÄ is known for.
My personal favourite Songs are "Lied vom Scheitern" "Schrei nach Liebe" "Deine Schuld" and "Ich, am Strand".
