How do they justify some shitty account for an offline singleplayer game?
Even single-player games aren't single-player anymore with all the online-requiring bullshit publishers have shoved into their games. The game most likely comes with a fuckton of telemetry and user-behaviour tracking which is a lot more valuable to Sony if it can be attached to a specific user.
"Fuck you", that's their argument
The same way Ubisoft, EA or whoewer else has their own fancy launcher.
Its an incredibly stupid thing but unfortunetly nothing new
At least with ghost of tsushima you only needed an account for the online co-op mode.
