Kinda goes against the theme of the setting, but what if one of the vaults was successful in experimenting on humans genetically or something.
Would be cool to be a master chief style Spartan looking dude coming out of the vault in a more fucked up area and bringing down the hammer.
I just like the idea of mixing it up lol.
I think that did happen in Fallout 1 with the Vault Harold came out of
Ah, I never went all the way back to one. My "original" idea isn't very original lmao
Also iirc there was a vault in fallout 1 where the experiment was making super mutants (I haven't played it I just watch YouTube lore videos), or at least using FEV to experiment on people.
