What's a good way to respond to sms messages on my phone, through my desktop pc? I do not have wifi, just my phone's usb/tethering connection.

Is Google voice an option for you? I text from any device via GV flawlessly
rather not use google, but thank you.
It’s blocked by a lot of services for 2FA which is a problem.
And who knows when Google will kill it.
I've used it for years now, waiting for it to die.
