Brilliant work! What did you use for the padding? And is it for SCA type combat? Historical re-enactment?
The padding I bought from a shop on etsy called SteelMastery that specializes in arming wear. And it's really just for ren faire costuming. I do also plan on installing an aventail, I just don't have the time or cash at the moment. I'm likely just going to get a cheap maille coif and cut it down to use as the aventail.

noun- Neck and shoulder mail that is attached to a helmet.
- The movable front to a helmet; the ventail.
- The flap or adjustable part of the hood of mail, which when unfastened allowed the hood to drop upon the shoulders.
