Is there a way to make my phone screen stop waking up when I unplug it?

I have a Galaxy S20 on Android 13.

  • Probably not without root

    • That's unfortunate.

      • Technically, you can actually by changing this developer setting

If your screen never turns off whilst charging then fixed it, right?

        ....runs away. 😇

        • Neat. I use an automation app to accomplish this already because I didn't know about that option.

          • Yeah I'm just been a little tongue in cheek and keeping your screen active would probably make Greta mad and possibly lead to burn in on your screen.

Both of these are undesirable, and there might be something out there for ya. Gotta ask, why, do you want this specifically?

Like I unplug maybe once a day so it's not an issue here, but curious why it's irking you?

            • I plug in pretty often, and everytime I unplug face recognition unlocks my phone and the screen will stay on without me realizing it which has led to me being in apps basically pocket dialing. Also my Switch has this setting, which I like because I have to plug that in pretty often too and if the screen stays on it dies pretty quickly. It also lets me load it into to the bag quicker. But mostly I just like to customize and tinker.
