It is generally considered rude to tell people to g! it themselves. Perhaps that was your intent but I hope you're a bigger person than that and it was unintentional.

No, it was fully intentionally. I hate when people do “tldr”, because I consider that rude. Rudeness in, rudeness out. I went to the effort to find and link a video explaining what this dude did, only to get told it was too much effort to watch.
I agree with you, I hate it when people expect easily findable information to be spoon fed to them. It would be one thing if they were asking to have special relativity explained to them, but this was just laziness.

If you ever watched Chris Hansen's old To Catch A Predator series, or his new series, these guys usually find a way to delude themselves into thinking they're not the way they are, or that they're somehow helping the victim, and I can only assume they lie to themselves because they know what they are doing is wrong and feel some shame.
