By my math, Dems need a clean sweep to get to 65 (+2 independents) for a total of 67. If even a single Republican up for reelection next year gets it we’ll fall short as usual. So nope, no convicting the traitor in the White House after the next election either.

Spent my whole life watching Dems grab defeat from the jaws of victory. With the stakes so much higher I expect nothing less of them.

Dem leaderships is already whining about how Zohran Mamdani winning the primary is bad for the party. They will absolutely continue to shoot themselves in the foot.
And Republican leadership whined when the tea party appeared on the scene.
