I downvoted pro-AI comments in a post in leftymemes community. It was LLM generated polandball comic (Which is objectively pathetic as fuck) that showed up on my feed, blocked couple of users who I thought were unhinged, and have blocked the whole instance on my client after realizing how rabid these morons are.
I didn't go looking for AI posts like a vigilante.
One user in question got miffed for being downvoted and banned me from places they moderate.
Seems fair enough to me. Why would a mod of a genAI community want people with a history of being anti-genAI in their community causing problems? And why would you even want to go visit that community in the first place, unless you wanted to cause problems. Imo this is a win-win situation. YDI.
Downvoting posts because you specifically dislike them isn't disruptive. I never went and downvoted the whole community, and no one else did. This grand conspiracy of brigading is just that, a conspiracy. People just hate AI slop. Deal with it.
If you pay attention to most normal people, they actually are infatuated with gen AI slop and it's sort of cringe, I work at a large company and half of the people's profile pictures on our communication application are gpt ghibleified images of themselves. Hating image generation is fairly common in these online circles, but overall the average population seems to like it.
Personally I would never refer to image generation as art, but image generation in itself is honestly a super cool and fascinating technology.
I mean, sure whatever. You're entitled to your opinion. But I'll take the opportunity to say that you going back to the other thread and bellyaching multiple times that I wasn't sufficiently respectful to you is hilarious. But otherwise, no your recent dozen comments on a 2 day old thread trying to ignite a flamewar isn't trolling for drama noooo.
