As if he didn't know it was all bullshit.
He knew, he was in on it and now trying to distance himself when it becomes unpopular.
Project 2025? What's that? I've never heard of that and I don't know anything about it!
On the one hand yeah that entirely possible. On the other hand, Trump clearly suffers from dementia, and he just may not know what the fuck is going on at any given moment and tries to go with it, failing constantly and his staff is failingly trying to cover it all up every time.
He has somewhat been backed into a corner.
Does he:
- admit that Elon bullshitted him, tricked him, the master negotiator and businessman?
- admit that he has no idea what is going on?
I think Elon's drop in popularity and recent hate has become too much to keep him around.
He was a useful tool at the time, I don't think the whole DOGE thing was actually there to do good, just to ride Elon's popularity to a win and then shape the government the way they wanted to take advantage and then toss him aside when they achieved their goals.
But also, yes, I believe that Dementia Don's mind is checking out fast.
He's like racist old grandpa who has lost his mind and on autopilot now, mumbling about shit nobody has an idea about... except he is steering the car off the road with all the passengers screaming.

No. That's giving him far too much credit and giving him a pass for the evil. This isnt the confusion of an old man, it's evil by design. Nobody gets a pass, especially not him.
I think that certain mental issues just breaks down whatever filter was there, that thing stopping them saying what they truly feel.
I know I should not say this, because people will lash out at me or may hurt my brand... but as soon as the dementia sets in all bets are off, the filter is gone and whatever evil is contained comes forward.
People need to stop making the claim of dementia or Alzheimer’s, they guy is just a spoiled rich old bitch, it doesn’t require a disorder. Stop making excuses for his behavior, he was just raised by shitty rich people to be a shitty rich person and he’s just too fucking old.
He has always been an asshole, I'm not saying it's the dementia, I'm saying whatever filters he had are being broken down by dementia (from my limited understanding of it).

He is an entitled, horrible orange shit and the way he rambles on about nothing on stage and cannot keep focused seems to point to his mental decline.
It was expected that after a good wrecking of services, Musk would be the designated scape goat. Soon the talks about privatization begin.
I mean, I'm sure that theres fat, red tape and inefficiencies in every government department and program that could be cut without issue... DOGE was just probably the absolute worst way to go about it.
So many of the things that Trump does are "I'm going to do something that on the surface is a great idea, in a completely ass backwards way that makes it worse than doing nothing"
And on the other hand there are a bunch of inefficiencies because a department is underfunded and understaffed.
But mostly cutting means people depending on the services get less. That's a lot of fun with tornado warnings and air traffic control.
Yeah it all falls under the same umbrella really.
It could be done smartly by experts with actual input from the people that have been begging for improvements and complaining about redundant policies and antiquated systems for decades. But no... lets use expensive external "experts" who understand nothing and will make more problems than they solve and cost more while they do it.
That's not a government problem per se. Same happens in private businesses. Somebody gets an incentive to bring down payroll. Internal expertise gets chucked out and external people come in. A bonus is given to the manager for reducing headcount. Costs on external people goes up explosively. Incentive for infernal expertise gets created. It's a fun cycle if you're there at the right moment.
As painful as government beurocracy can feel, it's always been a better experience for me than trying to get anything fixed or have a reliable point of contact with a massive private company. The worst part is how processes can be jerked about because Congress and some administrations just don't care or understand how things are for civilian (and I would guess enlisted) employees. I only worked over the second Obama and first Trump admin, which was enough to make me leave. I'd hate to be in there now.
