Burning my digital content to discs. Hard drives don't last forever
Neither do discs.
A backup that lasts upwards of 20 years and can be copied close to end of life is a perfectly good backup. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good, you'll never achieve anything that way.
Why not both? I like backups anyway.
That's exactly what I'm doing. HDDs have an expiration date
