At first my mind said:
a colder climate Great Horned Owl with the lighter coloration,
But the more I look at it:
those trees don't look like cold climate trees, so that takes us to the most common sub-Saharan owl, the Spotted Eagle Owl.
Bingo!
They trick me so much because of the familiarity bias. They look so much alike. I blame Pangea!

I do look at a lot of owls... 😆
