That's popular science. On the one hand, it looks shallow, but that just shows that people are curious, and that's okay.

Where the hell did you find the term "Scienceface". I just checked with Google Trends and there's not enough instances to chart any use.
Maybe they made it up themselves, it's just a portmanteau of science+blackface
