  • Last time I could rent affordably was 10 years. $600 everything included in a spacious and recently renovated basement suite here in BC.

    Off of min wage at the time I was able to cover groceries for two, enjoy myself AND save enough for a trip at no stress.

    Now I eat primarily grains because it's the best caloric value against inflation :')

    • Groats, rice, dry beans

      • Rice is the canvas of the heavans 🤤

        • But I cannot afford even those things at the supermarket. Have to go to bulk stores and ethnic grocers and shit. How long can this go on?
