I would say it's a good addition to the list. I'll take minecraft as an example, it's a bit of a bit of a mess, but it's an interesting experience in the way it forces you to look at things in a new way. The worlds are always quite different when you're new to the game, but as you progress, things actually become more believable and you start to think more about the world and the narrative more. I really enjoyed the exploration aspect of Minecraft though, the world is very well designed, it's always well-traveled.
