Are there any legitimate "brain training" apps/games/etc.?
  • Here's what I do on my phone most of the time nowadays:

    • Practice sudoku @ sudoku.coach
    • Practice chess @ Lichess
    • Practice Japanese @ renshuu.org

I almost got rid of all of my doomscrolling with actual brain activity. It feels great, and having different topics to choose from helps break the monotony.

  • Define fries
  • I just think relying on a strawman is not a very good way to make fun of something.

He says so much dumb shit that you don't really have to exaggerate in order to make him sound stupid.

  • [Meta] Closed - Soulslike(-adjacent) Giveaway!
  • The only game I don't already have in here is Nioh, and after seeing Iron Pineapple's recent video on the latest installment, I'd be delighted to be able to give it a try! 😊

Also, huge thanks to @Druid and @Demigodrick for running this kind of stuff. ❤️

  • So, "reasoning" LLMs can't reason. (Hot news flash, I know!)
  • It's annoying that marketing and consumers have created this very wrong perception about "what" an LLM is.

    On the one hand, yes.

On the other hand, if it needs me to hold its hand on top of the electric power of a small city to solve a fucking zebra puzzle, then I don't care about it or how it works, it is not useful technology.
