Ant smell
  • I recently had to close my store for an hour, because I was the only one working and couldn't breath due to one customers bad hygiene. People treat me like I'm overly sensitive or making up my discomfort, but to me it feels like being suffocated.

Also I can totally smell roaches, they smell worse than any other thing in existence. Never smelled an ant though. Did not know that was possible.

  • What are some free interests/things/hobbies you can do in the city?
  • Find a game store! Every city should have one or two places where people gather to play board games and card games. I've met some really great people just jumping into random magic the gathering matches. Only of my best friends was just some dude I met at the card shop, he was looking for a group to play dnd with and we've been meeting up once a week ever since.

Apps like meet up (if it's still a thing?) may be really useful as well.

  • It's called "social jet lag". Yes I know about sleep hygiene.
  • It's super helpful to people like me who have been suffering their entire lives. It's great to feel heard and validated, but the real value is being able to learn about myself. I've never been a morning person and have trouble sleeping at night. It's really nice to hear something other than "you're just not trying" or "try counting sheep". It's a lot better than just thinking I'm flawed. I wish someone would have told my parents this when they used to scream at me for sleeping in too late or not being asleep when they wanted me to be.

It was the same way with my adhd. My parents and teachers kept telling me I was just lazy, or didn't care when I felt like I was working my butt off. Being 'worse' then everyone else ate me alive and I'm still suffering for it. It was the same with my brothers autism. It was the same with my chronic depression. I wish I was born in this age of self reflection and mental health awareness, and for the sake of all the kids like me I really hope we keep pushing forward.

I'm sure your comment was sarcastic, but I'm hijacking it to dump 20 years of built up trama,, and to let the world know how thankful I am that we're starting to accept these labels as more than just flaws. They're really, really helpful.

Edit to say, I just read the other comments and realize you weren't being sarcastic. I hope my post helped point out some of the reasons things like this are becoming so important to people.

  • What are your weird food rules?
  • Bought a fancy pizza the other day. They put zero thought into the distribution, instead opting for giant discs of goat cheese and spoonfuls of sauce spread about. Some bites were great, most were missing crucial ingredients for a pizza. Like sauce and cheese.

  • My last post was a lot more intresting then I thought, so here I am again asking in a diffrent flavor. Whats your personal favorite mmorpg of all time?
  • I think we all have a favorite "bad" mmo that still pulled us in . For me it was Atlantica online, which has recently come back for some reason. I remember spending hours wandering around their seemingly massive world. I'm actually going to re-download ot today just to give myself that nostalgia. While it was never a popular game, it ran on my old junky PC and was free. To me, altalntica online is just as essential to my status as an mmo junky as games like wow or dungeons and dragons online.

  • I played swtor a lot during covid and met a lot of cool people. I imagine server's were a bit more active then, but they were still pretty quiet. I play DDO a lot which is basically the same game on a diffrent skin, and am lucky enough to be in an awesome guild that makes it easy to find friends. With a level cap that only really goes to 20 it's a lot easier to fond groups too.

Does not have to be a good mmo. Reasoning can be anything. If you read my last post you know I'm a huge fan of dungeons and dragons online, which may not be most people's ides of a quality mmo.

Feel free to mention old games that aren't around anymore, upcoming mmorpgs, or anything else you want to talk about really. I'm doing these mostly for my own entertainment, and hope you will feel free to do the same. Please use the games full name at least once, as acronyms can be confusing for myself and people like me.

Bonus points if you tell me about the worst mmorpg you actually like and play.

    Mmorpg reccomendations?

I'm sure a lot of you are very sick of this question. Like me, you've probably remained on the hunt for that perfect mmo experience for 10+ years. I'm not sure if there's anything else for me to find I haven't looked into, but I still really want to hear from the lemmy community on this. I'm not just looking for reccomendations for me, but also just wanting to know what you like. I'm expecting this to go about the same as the reddit threads asking the same thing, but I think the conversation is still worth having!

As for what I like, I was a classic runescape player before moving onto guid wars 2, but my all time favorite is dungeons and dragons online. I value character expression above almost everything else, and ddo is pretty good about giving you the same freedoms you would have in pen and paper did. Despite its shortcomings, this alone is why I keep going back to ddo over things like gw2 or elder scrolls online. With eso, and most others, I feel like my character is the same as everyone else's. Ddo makes my roll as a Rouge or cleric feel much more rewarding, and I still feel like I'm playing an individual custom character.

Honorable mentions would go to Black desert online for its amazing graphics and game play, and Albion online for being one of the most unique and interesting mmo experiences I've had in a while.

I don't think there is currently anything out that will be 100% what I like, but anything new to explore is welcome. Of course the goal here isn't really to find anything new, I just want to hear your thoughts on some of your favorites.

I'm bad with acronyms so I would appreciate it if you said the games real name at least once. Throw whatever you want at me even if it's way off topic. Upcoming or in development games are fine too!

I have a junk tablet, wifi, and around 5 bucks to spend. I need some ad free clean streaming or playlists I can stream for 12 or so hours a day.

Is it possible? I don't think any of the big companies have a one time buy in, and If they do I doubt it's anywhere near 5 bucks.

I have to have the ability to restrict it to only clean music and ads.

Just got my first entry level gaming pc! i have about 30 bucks to spend, what should i get for it?

I have all my hardware set up, including a new chair. MineCraft and baulders gate 3, terraria, and some freebies are my only games so far. I have a massive console and physical game collection that I love, so I'm really just looking for things that are definitively better on pc, only on pc, or software that I may not know about yet. Free software and game recommendations are always my favorite.

Really just posting here because I thought you would be the best people to find random recommendations from. Usually I would check reddit posts and all that, but I'm here now.

    Thanks in advance!
