  • Lemmy and Mastodon feel like the real web3.

  • I'm really hoping so. Currently we're free of ads and algorithms. I really hope that what has happened with reddit prompts some people enough to stay here for a while longer because then we're more likely to have regular creators.

    You're right there to be honest, it feels like bringing back a modern twist on tradition brought in a breath of fresh air and I'm loving it.

  • When I saw this, I felt an icky feeling because there was someone trying to talk about how this would all be good on the blockchain and how it might work on the blockchain. I wish they would leave the blockchain out of it.

  • Just spent my lunch break giving my wife a buzzcut because she mixed up thinning scissors and normal.

  • The closest I've gotten to hair horror stories is trying to cut my own hair and getting the scissors tangled in them. I had to get another pair of sissors to cut them out.

    Your poor wife! Maybe a nice hat, headscarf or a lacefront wig might work for her. The latter tends to look quite nice and natural when applied correctly. Her scalp might be a little bit sensitive to all of the sun we're having so beware!

  • In addition to this on mastodon (and *key instances) you can use hashtags can be used to follow and join in on topics you wish to post about. I find that people on the fediverse tend to be a lot more responsive when you talk to them in regards to something they have posted.
