  • Obviously it's not like stealing a car and I'm pretty sure that's a straw man, he just said it's piracy, which I'd argue it is.

It's like taking the train without paying, you aren't inherently hurting anyone, but if no one pays/watches ads it's not sustainable.

  • I've had plenty of cables on wired headphones die, and if the headphones don't have removable cables, that's it for them (unless you can solder on new cables, but you could also argue that you can replace the battery of wireless headphones). I've had the cable of my Sennheisers break like 3 times so far and I've only had the headphones for a couple of years, luckily they can be replaced easily

  • Xbox Game Pass Title 'Sea Of Stars' Is Getting Absolutely Incredible Reviews
  • Baldur's Gate III just came out and it's an absolutely phenomenal RPG

Octopath Traveler II is also a really great RPG

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom came out earlier this year, which was also amazing, though obviously that's (officially) only on Switch

Final Fantasy XVI was super fun, but that one is a PlayStation 5 exclusive

Then there is Starfield, the big new Bethesda game is space

A new Yakuza (though the series is being renamed to "like a dragon" now) game is coming out later this year as well (it's a very storied game series though, if you're not familiar with it, I'd suggest starting with either Yakuza 0 or Judgment)

Early this year there was actually another Like a Dragon game, Like a Dragon: Ishin, which is also great

A new Assassin's Creed comes out soon as well, which is going back to a more traditional gameplay loop (recent entries were RPG-like, and this is going to be more stealth focused again like AC1-Unity)

Armored Core 6 is supposedly also a really good game where you build your mech to fight big enemies (though I personally don't know much about that game)

Hi-Fi Rush was a really really good game, it's a sort of rhythm adventure game where you have to fight in the beat of the music.

Ubisoft is also releasing their Avatar (blue Aliens, not the air bender) game late this year (December if I'm not mistaken), which should scratch your FarCry itch, I'd say.

I'm sure there are more that I either forgot or aren't necessarily my wheelhouse, but those are the big ones

  • Are you holding off on any game in particular right now?
  • Yeah, it is. Apparently you can even get the early access if you really wanted to by just buying the deluxe upgrade and skip buying the base game. I have it pre-downloaded for the main release (no idea if I even have time to play it then)

  • Are you holding off on any game in particular right now?
  • I would wait on Starfield myself and wait for mods, but considering it's part of gamepass, I see no reason to not give it a fair shake, especially since I have a few more months of gamepass I got gifted. I do however plan on buying the game like a year or two from now (or maybe ten, if Skyrim is anything to go on) on Steam to do another modded playthrough

  • The Spotify Car Thing cost $100, but I can't use it anymore.
  • It's not optimal, and I would like for uploaded music to just show up in the regular search, but there is a top navigation bar where you can just switch between where to search (uploads being one of the options). Also YTM has the upside of showing YouTube uploads as well, I could always find obscure bonus EPs that only came with the physical CD because someone uploaded it, which is really handy

  • What is your record for number of hours on a single game?
  • I think that's the low end for wow players as well. I played it excessively for like a whole year (wake up, play, go to bed with very few obligations during that time), I have no idea how much time I spent in that game overall, because I've had a few periods like that in my life (though never that crazy)

  • Epic Games Store is offering developers 100% of revenue for six months of exclusivity
  • I will never get this sentiment. It's a fucking game launcher, it downloads the games quickly and launches them. I just don't get this hate boner people have for it.

I played Red Dead 2 and Control through it and had absolutely zero problems. You all just want a steam monopoly for whatever gods forsaken reason.

  • *Permanently Deleted*
  • Huh, maybe I'm just damaged by reddit, because I rarely ever comment exactly because of that. I was active on smaller subs, but why bother writing a comment on anything on r/all when literally nobody is ever gonna read it. That sentiment stuck so far, maybe it's time to rethink this attitude

  • ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ Prepared For 100,000 Concurrent Players, They’ve Gotten 700,000
  • Wait, acts? Are there literally like title screens like "Act 2 - The bad thing happens" or do you just call it act three in a storytelling structure kind of thing? Because I played like 15 hours this weekend and only barely made it to the underdark for the first time (no idea how far into the game that is). Howlongtobeat said the main story takes like 24 hours so I figured I'm a good way through the game already.

Can't wait to get back to it
