  • The following is an opinion made from a Jello Mold...

TKO is finding out that WWE fans have slightly better morals than UFC fans, it's why they've been working so hard to convert WWE PLE's into UFC ticket pricing, to push out the middle class (and more importantly poor people) for the millionaire and billionaire class.

As to the topic at hand... think of that gif of Troy going "good."

  • WWE has apparently flown in legends that worked with Hogan so expect this to be a partial tribute show.

Edit: So WWE continues their revisionist history claiming they brought Hulkamania to the world not AWA and despite all reporting claimed he died surrounded by family which is nicer than saying being worked on by paramedics but its revisionist because we have the news reports.

Other than the open I haven't seen much tribute so far and not really any of his moves ether like when Hall passed.

They did another flashback video while I typed this to his title win.

Edit 2: I appreciate that Cody and Joe Tessitore have both pointed out Hogan is complicated, to say the least.

  • Damn, the only thing I really enjoy other than wrestling on SyFy/USA Network.

In the words of Harry, This is some Bullshit.

  • Damn, and they just got the Juice back and were on tv again.

  • I prefer the original but get why they would want to reclaim their song from that asshole. I think I would have removed the Benoit opening guitars in any remix/redux/etc to just get rid of him completely.

  • Yeah but he's a white foreigner, that's different... but you know, it's totally not racism...

  • I don't necessarily mourn the person, I do mourn the character, I mourn what that character meant for professional wrestling, Hulkamania catapulted wrestling into what we know today, helped bring about Mania, the nWo leads and the Monday Night Wars, that gets us the Attitude Era, which leads to wrestling being a cultural phenomenon we'll likely never see again. I mourn that, I truly do.

Yet... Hogan made a career out of telling people to be moral All-American people, behind the scenes he was a union buster, complicit in a steroid scandal, held up others for his own gain, helped destroy a company he knew nothing about, turned out to be a racist and when he was finally allowed to return it's reported he was telling people not he was sorry just don't get caught on camera, his daughter quit talking to him because he only wanted a relationship on his terms, he went full Trump, all around he was not upholding the principles of Hulkamania. As a human I mostly find him distasteful, but not to go full on like some did today, Holy Beelzebub I dislike a some of you today even if I understand the sentiment.

  • Andrew screwed himself with that TV interview, he could likely have weathered it by keeping his mouth shut and just issuing a statement similar to what Donald says, I knew him, found out he was a creep and tossed him out of Mar-a-Lago. I seem to remember at one point an attorney for Guilffre claimed that had he not said he didn't know or meet her in that TV interview there wouldn't have been a lawsuit.

So if he's seething, it's his own damn fault.

  • Have B-B-B-** SLAP ** Buh Buh Ray do all the work, man that'll be a reverse of the old Dudley Boyz. I kid, I kid... or not.

I can only assume appearances by some ECW people, Rhino and Dreamer are my guesses, because this is going to need to be overbooked with Matt and D'Von limited and Bubba and Jeff aren't spring chickens.

I'm a little saddened by the fact WWE and TNA are together and that pretty much precludes an appearance of any kind from Edge and Christian, especially with D'Von retiring.

  • Perfection

This is great, I'm still waiting on one with stick figures though.

  • It's a good idea, match ratings are subjective anyway, shit Dave says is the greatest ever I'd disagree with, shit he says sucked I'd disagree with, wrestling is wrestling, some sucks, some is great, nobody has a right to tell you what to enjoy whether it's Dave or CageMatch users. All that to say, Cage Match is a great resource, but it's ratings are just opinions, not facts, watch the shows form your own opinions people.

Yes I know, there's only so much wrestling you can watch, in that case you do you.

  • AEW is the size it is because it's backed by a Billionaire, run by his Billionaire son, and they had contacts and knew people in the Media industry that got them the best foot in the door TV contract available for a wrestling company. TNA has a penny pinching media company in charge, cannot seem to find a TV deal outside their owned station, and regularly pisses off business partners... TNA, which I enjoy, isn't going any fucking where close to AEW numbers short of Billionaire Ted's ghost leaving them everything... and Ted ain't dead.

Bischoff and Russo are about on par for the fucking crazy they spew.

As a side note, Ted Turner has a bad form of dementia even if he wanted to he couldn't get back in the wrasslin' business, it's really sad.

  • Lucifer ain't ready for this house guest.

Him and Sabbath are in regular rotation around here, his farewell concert festival was cool, not an audible masterpiece, but so fucking cool because we knew he wasn't well.

  • Good for him, bad for bars. He'll be soiling himself in a Tampa bar quite soon, servers get ready.

  • It's never going to draw, so it's not big enough for actual PPV, Netflix learned the hard way he wasn't popular with his WWE appearance and aren't going to touch it, hell it's right where it needs to be, on the network that platforms others just like Hogan and it's an audience he can spread his red, white, and blue brand to in hopes they float his show for a bit. Although, I still think it's a scam of some sort, and yes I'll probably repeat that every time this comes up.

  • Maury better get his camera man working on cardio, so he can chase one of them down the hall during the big reveal.

  • Ok, I'm tired of the WWE-TNA relationship now, it's entirely one sided, yeah it might bring eyes to TNA, but it's making TNA and their workers look inferior when the TNA Title holders are NXT people. Maybe I'm just annoyed and will change my mind later, but damn do I not like this.

Edit: I'm glad AJ came out with a TNA theme song, I'm ok if he never uses it again, but maybe for his TNA HoF induction assuming they are still around when he's ready to enter.
