  • One of the proposed reasons the Romans adopted Christianity was because the church would help collect taxes. For all of the middle ages the church would be one of 3 instances that "run" a state (estates). Taxes were a big part of that job.

That means the answer to your question was just roughly 1700 years ago.

  • welp

  • No measurement is perfect. If your statistics are well executed, the measurement is a valid contribution to human knowledge.

Also every measurement is of great impact as long as nobody else can measure more precisely. So just wait 😉

  • Cherry tastes different then wine so I wouldn't just replace it. Even more important to your question is: 12% alcohol is enough to be shelf stable. You will get oxidation which matters little if the wine will see a lot of heat anyway. Bacteria hardly attack wine, especially if it contains sulfur like most wines I know.

  • Mens thrift shops are always a gamble. Do you know the website vinted.com? It's an enormous second hand store. You buy directly from the previous owner. The company is from Lithuania if that matters to you.

As for clothing stores, we need more information. What kind of clothing do you look for and maybe also where exactly do you live. I wear mostly local German brands so that might be no option.

  • I'm not touching any civ game until it got it's two DLCs. 5 and 6 had only a really good game loop after them and it's cheaper that way. I'm not alone in this I think which might be half of the reason for the struggle.

  • Igitt, differenzierte Betrachtungen. Dafür bin ich nicht im Internet.

  • Instead of fighting over the best arbitrary unit system we should all sit together and create a truly logical system that makes conversions - even between units - as simple as possible.

  • Only 20 reviews? I shitstormed more games than that.

  • A lot of questions. The school times vary depending on the age of the children beginning from 7:45 - 12:00 for Elementary School up to 8:30 - afternoon later on. First class starts typically at the age of 6 and depending on the degree it's 9-13 jears of education.

Everyone gets the same elementary but the "Weiterführende Schule" depends on the difficulty that suits the child (it's complicated).

Subjects depend strongly on the school type and year but there are some that you almost always will have, the Hauptfächer (main classes): Deutsch Englisch Mathematik.

I looked for English sources about our school system and they look okay. Do you want to know something specific?

  • Cute Meme but odd scheme.

There are 3 Molecular bonds: Ionic, Covalent, Metallic.

And there are some "supramolecular" bonds like Hydrogen Bonding. However there are more of these and hydrogen is in no way special. For example there are 3 types of van der Waals interactions or even hydrophobic interactions.

  • It makes sense. You aren't supposed to be part of a group if you specifically avoid soap when you wash yourself.

  • Even after googling i dont know what you mean. Please elaborate.

  • Nice. Go make a better one with Blackjack and Hookers (all genders).

  • This article is nonsensical. All it says is how bad breakfast cereal is and then concludes that breakfast cereal is ok to eat in the morning if you control portion size. Something that he discussed is hard because of the added sugar. The premise is that the author loves cereal so it really looks like he doesn't care what science says and urges you to do the same.

Also this website seems unscientific because it discusses highly controversial practices like acupuncture very favourable with very limited evidence.

  • I completely understand that you hate humanity as a whole but you can't deny that there are some fine specimen among us. On an individual level we can be super nice.

  • So that's how he got his scar

  • Why would you knit when you already have clothes?

  • Is it so bad? I really liked some of the stuff they made in the past.

They are one of the ones that were sold to private equity, right? So maybe the decline is unavoidable.

  • I didn't like the video. The real enemy is the US Justice system and science funding. Companies that do everything to profit off this are symptomatic for a systematic problem. Also they quote russian propaganda way too often for being true journalism. This makes me think this video is about ragebait and not information.
