I use the radio, so that I don't get conditioned to hate one specific song, but still have something more pleasant than an alarm tone (which I'd also grow to hate)
I once got flagged for plagiarism because I had page numbers! Also once got a flag for plagiarising... ✨myself✨ because I had ✨my name✨ on the front page 😔
Twin balance wheels beat independently on each flank of the Machine, while the central body reveals the gearbox of the HM9 engine: a planetary differential that averages the output of both balances to provide one stable reading of the time.
Honestly I've been told this a bunch, but I cook so much tomato-filled Italian/Mediterranean food and then just leave the pan until the next day to clean, never seen any serious issues from it. Seasoning is also regenerative, so even if you do fuck it up a bit, a couple of meals later it will be basically back to normal.
It's entirely possible, I've actually never even had one last even that long and just kinda guesstimated how long a pan that had been absolutely baby'd would last.
Sorry for linking R*ddit, but this thread seems to mirror my suspicions, 3-5 years on average, 10 if you treat it insanely well.
Off the top of my head I'd say a poem called "an ode to what is now, effectively, stairs" about shutdown escalators in an abandoned mall. I've had a search around for it a couple of times, including on the forum that I'm pretty sure I saw it on - the Agora Road Macintosh Cafe (I think this has since become a right-wing cesspool, it was last time I was there, so not a recommendation), but no luck :/
This was only like 7 years ago, so I'm almost impressed at how quickly it's disappeared.
That's sort of where I'm at right now to be honest. Google has removed or plan to remove basically everything that gave Android an edge over iOS. Meanwhile Apple, for all their flaws, has actually put out some pretty compelling offerings with the iPhone 17 line both hardware- and software-wise, and has made meaningful improvements in the realm of repairability and side-loading, albeit under regulatory pressure. At this point, it's looking like going to be harder than I'd like to choose between the two when I go to replace my phone in 3-5 years - provided both companies stay on their current trajectories.
Honestly I've found there's way more to do for fun that's free in cities compared to when I lived in a small town. The libraries, museums, parks, etc. are all much larger, more exciting, and easier to access - I don't even need to own a car to have fun anymore. There's also more social groups for more niche interinterests. Back when I lived in a town, the options for free(ish) fun were: go to a house, go to a mountain, go to the beach, and all were places you had to drive, god forbid you want to take a bus or walk somewhere, and then the people you would hang out with at those places were just co-workers or people you met in school, because there was no other way to meet people.
This is probably going to get me attacked, but I dislike Chappell Roan for the same reason. Her songs are... alright. I'm not the target audience, but I like the style generally, I just can't get past her voice.
This is because of one of Sega's "50 Rules" for successful Sonic games, namely the 34th one which says that every game should be more difficult than the last. For more information, look up "Sonic Rule 34"
Both beat me - my last name is a little unusual, but not hugely - all I know is that I opened the report, and that's what was highlighted :/
