Canadian Alternatives to Chef Woo Noodles?

I like them because they’re vegan and use clean ingredients. However they’re unfortunately American 👎

I know of Mr.noodles but they use sketchy additives to make them. It’s nice they’re cheap and you can buy them in bulk.

  • Sapporo Ichiban are made in Japan by Sanyo Foods, (yes that Sanyo) is widely available in Canada and much better than Mr. Noodles, but not vegan, and I don't know what ingredients being "clean" or "sketchy" means to you. They're definitely a more authentic Japanese recipe though and taste better. I can't ever go back to Mr. Noodles after trying them.

  • I wanted to double check before recommending them cause I wasn't sure if they were vegan or not, seems to me they don't list any non-vegan ingredients, BUT it does say it MAY CONTAIN crustaceans and fish at the end. So could be wrapped in the "spice" ingredient, but I'd think stuff like that would be listed separately for allergies. Or perhaps only included in other flavours made in the same plant? Like obviously a shrimp flavour would probably have them?

ANYWAYS, dropping it as a not-perfect rec but atleast something.

Indo Mie Mi Goreng noodles. Absolutely delicious and made in Indonesia. Available at a lot of major grocery chains, not just specialty ones. The pack I'm looking at is BBQ chicken flavour, but it is artificial chicken flavour. So vegan but not clean at all really. All their stuff is top notch taste though, comes with powder mix, crunchy onions or something, and then 3 different liquid sauce packs in it to mix and match.

Unfortunately NOT clean ingredients IMO, just standard instant noodle health benefits lol. And has refined palm oil in some of the sauces to boot :( now that I see the palm oil I think I may look for a new favourite too.
