I’m the same way. Lobster makes me physically sick to my stomach for some reason (even though I don’t hate the taste), but crab is delicious.

if only there was some sort of sea creature named after cows in many languages..
I thought about it but "land sea cows" sounded stupid. And they already have legs, of a sort. I guess you're right though, "land manatees" it is.
Poor things are endangered, they'd become a lot more numerous if they were raised for food, but their lives would be worse.
