a few months ago I was dating a girl. my cat loved her, she purred a lot when I had her over.
and I'm bi, so now I'm seeing a guy. first time I bring this dude over, she seems chill with him at first... until we start making out.
we're sitting, facing each other on my bed, and a few seconds into kissing my cat jumps on the bed and BITES HIS TOE. he laughs it off but it kinda ruined the mood so we just played some videogames and flirted. a couple days ago, I try bringing him over again: my cat GROWLS at him when he pets her. we tried kissing again and she attempts the same shit of attacking him. I shooed her away and she just stared at us in the corner all upset (I'm in a studio apartment)
for the most part she's so well-behaved around anyone else. why is my cat cock blocking me?? I'm probably gonna have to wait til our semester starts and I can come over to his dorm

now that you mention it she's opened up to women a lot faster for the most part. the aggression is new, but whenever I have a guy friend over she'll run away when they try to pet her. the only other boy she likes is my best friend and that's because she's known him for years. she runs away from some girls too though
It's actually pretty common for cats and dogs to have a higher trust in women based on early life experiences. If they were only socialized to women as kittens, men might seem scary and dangerous to them
Yeah, I've known a few pets like that. You can try getting some kitty treats and have your bf give her one every time he comes over and try to win her over with treats and petting, but that's probably a long process.
